Daniel J. Weintraub

Mr. Weintraub earned his Bachelor's degree in 1982 from the University of California, Los Angeles. In 1987 he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California, where he served as the Chair of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program.

Mr. Weintraub specializes in Chapter 11 reorganization, debt restructure and negotiation, consumer bankruptcy, insolvency counseling and litigation, creditor’s rights and other aspects of debtor/creditor representation. Mr. Weintraub began his career at the premiere boutique bankruptcy law firm Levene & Eisenberg. He then became the senior associate in the Banking and Finance Department of nationally recognized firm Sheppard, Mullen, Richter & Hampton, and has also served as in-house counsel for City National Bank. Mr. Weintraub established his own firm in 1992, and formed Weintraub Law Corporation in 2001, now known as Weintraub & Selth, APC.

Mr. Weintraub is a member of the Los Angeles County and the Beverly Hills Bar Associations and the Individual and Consumer Bankruptcy Sub-Committee of the LA County Bar Section on Commercial Law and Bankruptcy. As a longstanding member of Professional Network Group, an alliance of senior level professionals from the fields of law, accounting, banking, finance, insurance and consulting, he is able to refer his clients to trustworthy, accountable, seasoned professionals in virtually any field.

Mr. Weintraub represents debtors and creditors in all chapters of the United

States Bankruptcy Code. He also has extensive experience representing debtors and creditors in workouts and restructures before state and federal courts.

James R. Selth

Mr. Selth is a graduate of University of California, Riverside where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and served an internship in the United States Senate. In 1985 he received his Juris Doctor Degree, Cum Laude, from Western State University.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Selth was employed for seven years by California Federal Savings & Loan Association, where he last worked as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of Cal Fed's Pasadena office.

Mr. Selth served as a Deputy District Attorney in Orange County for two years before joining the firm of McKinley & Capeloto in Pasadena in 1988, where he was a partner from 1994 until 2001. In 2002 Mr. Selth joined Weintraub Law Corporation as Senior Counsel. The firm became known as Weintraub & Selth, APC in 2004.

Mr. Selth is recognized as one of the leading consumer and small business bankruptcy attorneys in Southern California. His hands-on approach to each of his cases and dedication to the highest level of client satisfaction has helped hundreds of clients emerge from bankruptcy with the goal of a discharge and "fresh start" accomplished. Many of Weintraub & Selth's clients have successfully completed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy and received their discharge even after other attorneys told them they did not qualify for Chapter 7.

In addition to representing debtors and creditors in a variety of matters, Mr. Selth has years of experience representing financial institutions and mortgage lenders in state courts and bankruptcy courts throughout California, specializing in areas of concern to credit unions. He handles and supervises state court and bankruptcy litigation as well as foreclosure and receivership matters.

Summer Saad

Ms. Saad earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1997 from the University of Oregon where she double majored in Political Science and International Studies. In 2000, she received her Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law where she served as Associate Editor of Oregon Law Review; and Co-founder of Pangea.

Ms. Saad has extensive trial experience gained during the years she served the public in Oregon as a Deputy District Attorney and later as an Assistant Attorney General. Ms. Saad has tried 27 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials. She moved to Los Angeles and became an Associate Attorney of Weintraub & Selth, APC in 2007.

Weintraub & Selth, APC utilizes Ms. Saad's trial experience in its business litigation practice.
Her courtroom talent, persuasive writing skills and keen eye towards analyzing and strategizing over evidence, derived from years of being a prosecutor, enable Ms. Saad to aggressively protect our clients' interests in all aspects of bankruptcy and pre-bankruptcy planning. She has also successfully defended consumers and small business owners in lawsuits, allowing them to avoid bankruptcy altogether.
